Sigourney Weaver on My Salinger Year.

in Entertainment, What She Said on 02/27/21

In Philippe Falardeau’s My Salinger Year, Sigourney Weaver plays a literary agent whose company represents some of the greatest American authors of the last century – Agatha Christie, Dylan Thomas, F. Scott Fitzgerald and for the purposes of this film, The Catcher in the Rye author, the reclusive J.D. Salinger. He was intensely private, avoided connection with people and hid out in a farmhouse near Cornish, New Hampshire for decades. Weaver’s character, his trusted literary agent communicates with Salinger, no one else. One day, an intern picks up the phone and it’s the man himself. Weaver immediately sets to work on his secret project. What She Said’ Anne Brodie spoke with Weaver.

My Salinger Year opens March 5 on TVOD.
