Kirby, a Chicago newspaper reporter, is now an archivist due to psychological and emotional issues stemming from a brutal attack; police were unable to solve the case. When she hears of a similar attack she sets out to find the perp and stop him from committing crimes against any more “shining girls”. Jamie Bell plays her lead suspect, a loner with a lot of innate charm and a gift for manipulation, a far cry from previous roles the British actor has played.
