CBC Gem and Paramount+ docuseries For Heaven’s Sake! is strangely funny, really creepy and true, the story of two Funny or Die comics Mike Mildon and Jackson Rowe attempting to find out who killed Mike Milson’s great-great-uncle Harold Heaven. Heaven’s disappearance from his isolated cabin near Minden, Ontario, flummoxed police. The young man appears to have left his cabin for a moment. The candle was found burning, his book and door open, but the trail went cold there. MIlden and Rowe, admitted but dedicated amateur detectives, put in the legwork, secured interviews with descendants of 1930’a townies, applied modern tech and – no spoilers here! What She Said’ Anne Brodie spoke with the duo.
