Holiday season is almost upon us, and I’m here to help out with festive style tips! I know it can be daunting to find the perfect outfit for an occasion, so I’ve compiled my favorite outfits to make it easier for you, and keep you looking confident, chic and gorgeous all winter long.

THE OFFICE PARTY

Skip the little black dress this year and opt for some colour! Try wearing a dress with one solid colour, like bright yellow or navy blue, to really pop at your party. Don’t get me wrong – I love a little black dress. But there’s confidence in colour as well, and this is the perfect place to try out this fashion trend. Stop by Nordstrom and try on some of their shift dresses in solid colors and make this trend work for you!

THE DINNER PARTY

Add some sequins to brighten up your look for your next dinner party. You can wear a cozy sweater with a sequin pattern matched with leather leggings, or a cotton top and a sequin skirt, or a full on sequin dress! No matter what, sequins will make your outfit stand out. I love H&M’s new line of holiday sweaters with cute slogans, and they’re so easy to pair with a cute skirt or black pants to keep your outfit festive and appropriate!

THE COCKTAIL PARTY

A cocktail party is the perfect place to try out the fab two-piece outfit trend. I love wearing a black pencil skirt and matching crop top, or going for a full bodied skirt and a different colored top to mix things up! A two piece can be so elegant, as we’ve seen at the Met Ball with Emma Stone’s pink Thakoon outfit. Check out Forever 21 or Zara for matching top-and-bottom looks. It’s a tasteful and chic look.

THE BLACK-TIE EVENT

Try out feathers for your next black-tie event. I know it sounds risqué, but think about Julianne Moore wearing a feathered Armani dress at Cannes, or Olivia Munn wearing a feathered Lanvin to the ballet and you’ll know how classy this trend can be. I love a dress with a feathered bottom, or a dress that is entirely made of feathers. No matter what, your look will have some extra texture and you’ll be guaranteed to stand out from the crowd!
