DJ Demers’ warm and hilarious take on the sitcom is refreshing. His humour is forthright, situational and humane, a rarity today. It’s just nice, like Canadians. His debut series One More Time takes place in a second-hand sporting goods store, with a colourful cast of characters just trying got get through the day with grace and fun and the occasional spleen shake. The series is Canadian to its core. There’s even a storyline about Rocket Richard’s skates! What She Said’ Anne Brodie spoke with Demers and showrunner, co-writer Jessie Gabe.
