Britain’s beloved Sir Lenny Henry Pays Tribute to Three Resilient Women Who Left Jamaica for the UK in the Heartwarming Series Three Little Birds.

in Entertainment, What She Said on 02/01/24

Sir Lenny Henry, Britain’s beloved actor and producer remembers three strong women from his family, and all the others, who left Jamaica for better lives in England in the 50s in the BritBox series Three Little Birds. They were not prepared for the challenges they’d face including sexism, racism, and economic insecurity, but were buoyed with plenty of heart and hope. What She Said’ Anne Brodie spoke with Henry, writer/executive producer and star and Rochelle Neil, who plays Leah.

Three Little Birds is on BritBox now.
