Katie Boland, one of Canada’s most popular young actors, has a stunning sixty credits to her name. Boland has won the Birks Diamond Women In Film Award, was named Playback’s 2013 10 To Watch, and Best Emerging Actress by The Toronto Film Scene. In 2001, the Toronto International Film Festival called her one its Rising Stars. Most recently, Boland appears in Born to Be Blue, opposite Ethan Hawke. It’s a moody biopic on famed jazz trumpeter Chet Baker and Boland plays a fan with a dark side. We spoke with this most versatile actor at TIFF.
