Charlotte Kavanagh on Recreating 1954 with Song n’ Dance in Grease Prequel: Rise of the Pink Ladies

Forty-five years after Grease, the landmark John Travolta Olivia Newton-John musical, Paramount+ returns, four years prior to the original film’s time period. It’s back to Rydell High where tweenagers battle it out for social supremacy through singin’ and dancin’. It’s one of the most joyous series this season, irresistible to music lovers and fans of the original and Vancouver’s singer-dancer Charlotte Kavanagh whose “cool” crowd is in for some major competition. What She Said’ Anne Brodie spoke with Kavanagh about recreating a time and place and keeping it real and joyful.
